Research on IoT-based Operation Support System for Safety and Economic of Power Distribution Station Clusters

At present, the smart grid is in a period of rapid development, and the third industrial revolution represented by the energy Internet has put forward higher requirements for the distribution network. How to apply emerging information technologies such as the Internet of Things(IoT) to power distribution station clusters will become a new model for the new round of energy revolution. This paper first discusses the overall architecture of the operation support system for safety and economic of power distribution station cluster. An operation support system for safety and economic of power distribution station cluster is proposed, which consists of perception layer, network layer, platform layer, and application layer. The function of the perceptive extension layer and edge computing layer is conceived. The key technologies of local communication networks and wide area communication networks are summarized. The application of the platform layer and application layer in the distribution station cluster is analyzed. Aiming at the problem of edge Hub Net and cloud collaboration, this paper studies the cloud edge collaboration architecture and strategy of the operation support system from IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS, which realize the close collaboration be-tween edge computing and cloud computing. Finally, the next step of the construction of Internet of Things technology is summarized and prospected.
