Dynamic simulation of reaction modeling and slag behavior in an entrained gasifier

In order to better understand the information of an entrained flow type gasifier, a mathematical model is developed to simulate the Shell entrainment pilot coal gasifier. According to the structure of the gasifier, establish submodels to simulate the complicated performance of gasifier. The model is employed to set up the mass conservation equation of gas components, solid flow, and gas flow and total energy conservation equation. Moreover, the model is obviously closer to reality. Because the syngas composition predicted by the model is under the condition of limited residence time. There are a number of water tubes around the shell gasifier wall. With the heat transfer coefficient of each wall level to calculate the heat loss and the temperature of every level and the model reflects the influence of shell gasifier water wall performance factors. Slag mass flow rate on the wall is calculated by the slag submodel. From the results concluded that temperature and viscosity are the main parameters affecting the slag mass flow rate.
