INFRARED ABSORPTION IN LITHIUM-INTERCALATED VANADIUM PENTOXIDE FILMS

Films of LixVO2.5 were produced by reactive direct current magnetron sputtering followed by galvanostatic lithiation from an electrolyte. Infrared absorption bands, measured by spectrophotometry, showed x-dependent changes that could be reconciled with structural expansion and contraction.
