Shot-profile Kirchhoff beam migration

SUMMARY Multi-arrival Kirchhoff beam migration has the capability to better image complex structures as compared to conventional single-arrival Kirchhoff migration. Here, we have extended the Kirchhoff beam technique from the common offset domain to the common shot domain, which allows for migration of data sets from wide-azimuth seismic acquisition. Application of this method to the 3D SEAM synthetic data set has illustrated the validity of the shot-profile Kirchhoff beam migration approach and implementation.
