Treatment of Protrusion of Cervical Intervertebral Disc With Autopercutaneous Removal of Cervical Vertebral Discs

Objective To study the effect of cervical anterior percutaneous discectomy for cervical spondylosis and its indication. Methods Under local anesthesia,48 patients with cervical spondylosis,group A including 20 cases under 40 years old,group B including 28 cases over 40 years old, were treated with percataneous discectomy,and followed up for 6~24 months.Results The regression rate of group A was 95%,group B 60%.Through χ 2 test,there was significant difference between the two groups (P0.05). Conclusion The percutaneous discetomy can provide safe and effective results for the management of cervical spondylosis, especially in early stage strictly selected indication is the key to asssure the successful rate of the percutanous discetomy.
