Catheter ablation of ventricular tachycardia foci

1987
The use of endocardial catheters to localize the site of origin of ventricular tachycardia has assumed increasing clinical relevance. Map directed endocardial resection [1, 2], has been shown to produce more effective long-term response compared with blind aneurysm resection in patients with ventricular tachycardia [3, 4]. Newer techniques have allowed the use of electrode catheters for both tachycardia localization and ablation.
