Synthesis and Property Study of Films of Microwave-Absorbing Composites Consisting of Mn 0.5792 Zn 0.2597 Fe 2.1612 O 4 Inclusions and the –[(CH 2 –CH 2 ) m –(CF 2 –CF 2 ) n ] k – Polymer Matrix

Films of microwave-absorbing ferrite-polymer composites comprising 5–50 vol % inclusions were synthesized. X-ray powder diffraction analysis showed that the obtained films are a two-phase composite and contain no other phases but the ferrite and the polymer. Differential scanning calorimetry suggested that the polymer matrix degrades at a temperature above 100°C. The IR spectra of the composites indicated an increase in the crystallinity of the polymer with increasing ferrite content. In the composite containing 40 vol % ferrite, the metal plate reflection coefficient increases to –25 dB at a frequency of 3.2 GHz. Measurements of the permittivity and the electrical conductivity in the frequency range 100 Hz–1 MHz demonstrated that the real part of the permittivity increases with increasing content of the magnetic phase, whereas the electrical conductivity remains unchanged.
