A cross-browser, web-based geospatial open platform using HTML5 and WebGL

Major web browsers have recently stopped supporting plugins due to several obstacles. Accordingly, in the geospatial domain, implementing high-resolution three-dimensional maps without plugins has become a trend. This paper presents our challenges in developing a web-based, three-dimensional, geospatial open platform using HTML5 and WebGL supporting a cross-browser and cross-platform.
