Overview of HIF Program in Japan

In the last HIF Symposium at Tokyo, the HIBLIC‐I was proposed by Japanese group. Further discussions on the design problems have been continued to improve or modify the conceptual design in the future. At the same time, near‐term experiments are being planned for the related physics and engineering which the proposal is based on. In this paper, the outline of these approaches is given.
