Sliding Mode Speed Control of PMSM Based on A Novel Hybrid Reaching Law and High-Order Terminal Sliding-Mode Observer

2021
To promote the dynamic performance of the speed controller and robustness of the PMSM, a composite sliding mode speed control (CSMSC) method considering a new hybrid reaching law and a high-order terminal sliding mode observer (HOTSMO) is proposed in this manuscript. Firstly, a novel hybrid sliding mode reaching law (NHSMRL) consists of arctangent and the anti-hyperbolic sine function. This method can effectively eliminate the intrinsic chattering and increases the convergence rate when the system state is reaching the sliding mode surface. On the basis of this novel reaching law, a sliding-mode speed control system of PMSM is constructed. Then, a presented HOTSMO shows superiorities in convergence rate and anti-disturbances performance. Simulation results are provided to verify the effectiveness and excellent performance of the proposed method.
