The kinetics of preparation and some properties of oligobutadieneamidodiamine

Abstract A study has been made of the effect of temperature, the ratio of the reactants and the completeness of removal of water from the reaction zone, on the kinetics of polycondensation of oligobutadiene containing terminal carboxyl groups, with hexamethylene diamine, when there is a considerable excess of amino groups in the reaction mixture. The temperature dependence of the viscosity of oligobutadiene with terminal carboxyl groups and of oligobutadieneaminodiamine has been investigated. The chemical structure of the latter is confirmed by IR spectroscopy.
