Fabrication and optical properties of monomode semiconductor doped fibre

A monomode multicomponent glass optical fibre has been produced with a core doped with the mixed CdS/sub X/Se/sub 1-X/ semiconductor. The fibre shows both absorptive and refractive nonlinearities with picosecond responses. >
