EXTREME VALUES OF THE ANALYZING POWER IN THE Li(d,0C) 4He REACTION

Extreme values of the analyzing power have been identified in -4He and -4He elastic scattering1,2). Recently it has been proposed that similar points exist also in reactions3). A calculation of the cartesian tensor Ayy from the 6Li(, α) 4He data of Gruebler et al.4) shows experimental values with Ayy ≃ 1 at two points (fig.).
