Method for soldering superconductor fibers into copper channel

1991
PURPOSE: To provide a method for soldering ceramic superconductor fibers to a supporting body to manufacture a superconductor wire. CONSTITUTION: The superconductor fibers 12 are arranged in a channel 14 being the supporting body. A solder paste 36 is distributed to the channel 14 from above the fibers 12. The combination of the channel 14, the fibers 12 and the solder paste 36 is heated, the flux of solder paste is activated and the solder is melted. When the flux is removed after the combination is cooled, the superconductor wire 20 is obtained. COPYRIGHT: (C)1992,JPO
