The invention discloses an electric optical filter wheel with an electromagnetic clutch and a braking mechanism. The power source of an optical filter wheel is a direct current (DC) motor (2); a transmission mechanism includes a decelerator (3) and an electromagnetic clutch (4); an electromagnetic push rod (6) is used as a braking and locking mechanism; a position sensor (7) is integrated on a circuit board (8); an optical filter wheel (5) is provided with a braking cooperation mechanism and the position sensor (7). Through the real time position signal fed back by the position sensor, an integrated circuit controls work states of the DC motor, the electromagnetic clutch and the electromagnetic push rod, and realizes optical filter wheel positioning and locking. According to the invention, the DC motor, the electromagnetic clutch, the electromagnetic push rod, and the position sensor are cooperatively designed, and are embedded in the optical filter wheel based on a closed loop control scheme, thereby realizing optical filter wheel positioning and outage self-locking. The electric optical filter wheel is suitable for a routine optical experiment system, and meanwhile can be integrated in a totally-enclosed automatic optical system.
