NOVEL OPTICAL BACKPLANE FOR AUTOMOTIVE APPLICATIONS

In this paper, the authors focus on a novel alignment tolerant optical backplane approach that can be used in automotive applications. The method is based on a hybrid integration of guided wave and free space micro-optics using a deep etch lithography technique.
