Study on differences in diapause termination and post-diapause development between two voltinism lines of alfalfa leafcutter bees, Megachile routndata.

Differences in diapause termination and post-diapause development between two voltinism lines of alfalfa leafcutter bees,Megachile rotundata F., were studied.The results showed that the bivoltine line always emerged earlier than the unvoltine line after treatment with low temperature for different days. After complete diapause termination,the start emergence times for male and female and the emergence peak in bivoltine line were 2.00,1.67 and 2.00 days earlier than those in univoltine line,respectively.
