DETERMINAÇÃO DA EFICIÊNCIA DO CONTADOR DE CORPO INTEIRO(CCI) PELO MÉTODO DE MONTE CARLO, UTILIZANDO UM MICRO COMPUTADOR

The purpose of this investigation was the development of an analytical microoaiputer model to evalxxate a vAiole body counter efficiency. The model i s based on a modified Sryder's model. A stretcher type ga^metry along with the Monte Carlo method and a Synclair type microocstputer were \ssed. Experimej-ital measiarements were p e r f o m ^ using two phantoms, one as an adult and the other as a 5 year old child. The j iantcsns were made in acrylic and and ^ \ were the radioisotq^es ut i l ized. Itesxilts showed a close relationship between experinental and predicted data for er^rgies ranging fron 250 keV to 2 MaV, but scxne discre­ pancies were found for lower energies.
