Salicyclic acid gel for scalp psoriasis
1986
Summary
The scalp psoriasis of 13 out of 20 out-patients and of 9 out of 10 in-patients improved with a 6% salicyclic acid gel. Out-patients found the treatment acceptable but in-patients preferred a traditional treatment with salicylic acid made up in soft paraffin. Absorption of salicylic acid from the gel was negligible.
