A Study of Formation of Calcium Carbonate Scalein Circulating Cooling Water System and Its Control

A study was made on the dynamic process of the formation of calcium carbonate scale in circulating cooling water system as well as the effects of scale inhibiters on it, with the scale-inhibiting performance of several organic phosphonate scale inhibitors evaluated. The results of experiment shows that the existence of scale inhibitors gives bigger influence to the scaling process of calcium carbonate, however, different scale inhibitors play leading roles in different dynamic processes.
