Economía de los bienes simbólicos y estudios de público en museos: Propuesta metodológica para entender el consumo de la cultura

Objective: this research article seeks to propose a methodology on the study of audiences framed in an anthropological project, in order to know the economics of symbolic godos that works on cultural consumption in Museums. Methodology: through a study of standard audiences independently with visitors leaving the Botero Museum, during the first half of 2016, analyzing the information in the second half of the same year. It was proposed to develop an academic and social awareness of the importance of public studies as a management strategy to strengthen cultural consumption Finding: it sought to overcome the substanceistic vision of cultural and symbolic goods in order to understand them relationally, to move from considering culture as "a thing", but as a changing set of relationships between different sectors of a society, which are mediated, in this case, by museums. Conclusion: this project incorporates the analysis of the messages, the position of the institutions in the museum field and the relationships that are established between the museums, since these influence the production of the goods that will be consumed by diverse audiences.
