Protecting member and method of manufacturing the same wire

An electric wire protecting member, covering and protecting an electric wire bundle. The electric wire protecting member is formed by subjecting nonwoven fabric to hot press and comprises, in the direction in which the electric wire bundle to be protected extends, a path restricting portion and a bendable portion which can be more easily bent than the path restricting portion. The path restricting portion and the bendable portion can be formed appropriately by, for example, subjecting the nonwoven fabric to hot press at different conditions including the degree of compression.
