Comparison between Two Methods for Measuring Indoor Radon (เปรียบเทียบการวัดระดับแก๊สเรดอนในอาคาร 2 วิธี)

This paper shows results of field measurements for indoor radon in 188 houses in Phuwiangdistrict, Khon Kaen Province, using the activated charcoal canister method concurrently withthe alpha-track Cr-39 method. The mean, median, and range of radon concentrations weresignificantly different for each district, separately and overall (p < 0.0001). The differentconcentrations ranged from 1 to 42 Bq.m-3; the median was 8 Bq.m-3 and the means ± SD 9.35± 7.31 Bq.m-3. The authors conclude that, although the charcoal canister method seems inferiorto the alpha track method, it is still practical for screening use.
