Modal Characteristics Study of a Spoked Ferris Wheel

This paper,taking three calculation methods of the software ANSYS,analyses the natural frequency and mode of a pre-stressed spoked ferris wheel.As a result,we prove that the influence can not be ignored of gravity and inhaul cable's non-linear effect to modal characteristics.What's more,taking inhaul cable’s non-linearity into consideration or not has opposite tendency of modal characteristics.
