Fashion brands approach toward waste management

Abstract Manufacturing production of garments as well as worn out clothes reaching their end of life is contributing to environmental pollution that might result in climate changes. Majority of the production companies and individuals prefer to either burn fabric scraps or dumped them in landfill and in offshore. Government laws have been implemented to promote recycling and reusing both fabric scraps and worn-out clothes as there is smaller space available for landfilling. Recycling and reusing fabric waste will minimize environmental pollution. In addition, new products that possess similar properties and qualities will be produced from the waste. This is called sustainability.
