High-viscosity-index oils from the Ust'-Balyk crude

1. The Ust'-Balyk crude is a valuable stock for obtaining high-viscosity-index lube oils. The material-balance and utility characteristics of the basic processes for the production of oils from the Ust'-Balyk crude using selective solvents are more advantageous than those in the case of Tuimaz type sour crudes. Here the favorable factor is the high yield of residual oils from the Ust'-Balyk crude. 2. The oil components and base oils from the Ust'-Balyk crude satisfy the All-Union State Standard specifications for oils from sour crudes, and have higher viscosity index.
