ON INCREASE OF THE EFFICACY OF RECORDING BETA-RADIATION WITH THE AID OF END- WINDOW COUNTERS

Description of a device to augment considerably the effectiveness of counting beta-active preparations with the aid of end-window counters is given. In the device, counting is effected simultaneously by two counters directed toward each other by their inlet windows and connected parallelly. An experimental trial demonstrated that the device determines the activity of the preparation with the same accuracy and much faster than with the aid of existing appliances. (auth)
