Putri Nasution 2009. “The Language Competence of Children (Preschooler) in 3—4 years of age in Play Group Tunas Mekar Medan : “Psycholinguistic review was a psycholinguistics research using qualitative method in requisition and analysis of data. Essentially the language requisition of children in 3—4 years of age started with phonological, semantic and syntax requisitions. The data of research was analyzed in basic on phonology, syntax, and semantics. The population of research was children in 3—4 years of age staying in Play Group Tunas Mekar Medan. This research observed the language competence among children themselves, either with peers or with teachers. The research indicated that the respondents, children of 3—4 years in Play Group Tunas Mekar Medan, have language competence either from phonological, syntax or semantic requisitions. While the children have competence, however in phonological requisition they experienced the change in voiced and unvoiced sounds, i.e., Pronounciation of word “mau” to “mo” as vowel (a) release and conversion of vowel (u) to (o), they also made a weak consonant release (l) in word of two phrases, they made reduplication process, and then reduction and simplification of phrases. In syntax requisition, they were able of using the grammatical sentences, and in semantic requisition they more tended to use the denotative meaning. Thus, it could be seen that children were born with potential of requisiting whatever language, including Indonesian language. This competence led the child to understand the gradual sentences from simple to complex forms.
