2009
Objective To analyse the clinical data of cases of primary retroperitoneal tumor (PRT)admitted during the period from January 1998 to November 2008.Methods A retrospective clinical data analysis was made on the 28 cases of PRT who underment operation. Results There were 28 cases of primary retroperi-toneal tumor which were proved by operation. There were 10 cases of benign tumor, totally removal of tumor was performed in 7cases and partial in 3 cases, total resection of the tumor and other implicated organs ( intestinumcrassum ) in 2 cases. There were 18 cases of malignant tumor, totally removal of tumor was performed in 9 cases and partial in 6 cases ,surgical exploration and biopsy in 3 cases, total resection of the tumor and other implicated organs ( uterus, renal, speen ) in 3cases.Reoperation was carried out in 4 recurrent cases. Conclusions The leading factors which prevent complete resection are large vessel and/or multiple organs involvement; however, complete resection could still be expected in many recurrent cases.
