Analysis of patch antenna with director in FDTD simulation environment

In this paper the influence of dimensions, geometry and position of the conductive director on the radiation and matching characteristics of the patch antenna are analyzed using an own developed simulation tool that is based on finite difference time domain (FDTD) method. The possibility of gain enhancement and broadening of the antenna bandwidth is investigated.
