High Power Tunable Resonated-Ring-Reflector Laser Using Passive Alignment Technology

A simple tunable laser consisting of a SOA mounted on Si substrate with silica waveguide resonated-ring-resonator was proposed. An excellent coupling loss of 0.41 dB between the waveguide and SOA enables fiber output power of more than 16 dBm.
