Desenhando vias públicas: reflexões sobre o espaço urbano

This essay seeks to promote reflections and references on one of the most important components of urban design, the streets. Comes to its importance as a structural element of the cities, through integration with the urban environment and historical reference models and current problems, demonstrating the importance of studying the evolution of its design and construction to improve the action of the project over the city. Also aims to demonstrate the functions of the streets, not only about their support to displacement characteristic of, but mainly as urban place. As development, analyzes the morphological components of the street, indicating similarities and possible groupings, suggesting ideas for planning discussion.
