Data on draft genome sequence and annotation of Pearl millet to improve agronomic traits in arid environments

The data files contains draft genome sequence of Pearl Millet along with its structural and functional annotation. The sequence of seven chromosomes are available in FASTA file "pearl_millet_v1.1.fa", whereas those assembled sequences (scaffolds) which could not be mapped to any of the seven chromosomes are dumped into another FASTA file "pearl_millet_v1.1.chrUn.fa". The structural annotation of these two types of genome sequences (draft assembly and unmapped scaffold sequences) is available in GFF files "PM.genechr.trans.gff" and "PM.genescf.gff", respectively.
