BEFORE AND AFTER INVESTIGATIONS OF THE INTRODUCTION OF PRIORITY MEASURES ON LOCAL ROADS

1985
This paper briefly describes investigations carried out before and after priority measures were introduced on eight intersections. In particular the methods for measuring speed and priority-behaviour were studied. It was found that simple techniques for observation increase the insight into changes in road behaviour. Also it was found that introducing priority-measures on all these locations has to be considered as an important improvement of the total traffic-situation.
