Enhancement of Underwater Blast Wave Directed from of a Metallized Explosive to a Bubble Channel in Continuous Water

2019
The results of the experimental studies of underwater explosions of ideal and nonideal detonating charges in continuous water and water-containing air bubbles are presented. Charges weighing up to 50 g are exploded in a metal reservoir filled with water. The parameters of the compression waves in the water are recorded. The effect of the directional propagation of the shock wave in the water along the channel filled with air bubbles is shown. The mechanism of nonideal explosions of highly metallized compositions in water, including explosions in a bubble medium, is also discussed.
