Effect of the morphology of polyvinyl chloride on the impact strength of materials based on it

1986
Abstract The relation between the initial morphology of a polymer, as indicated by the dimensions and degree of aggregation of the structural units, the retention of these units after processing, and the impact strength of the composite is studied. A direct relation between the impact strength of the processed specimens and the specific surface of the original PVC is demonstrated. The existence of this relation is associated with the effect of the morphology of the original PVC on the structure of the material undergoing processing.
