Application of laparoscopic cholecystectomy by transumbilical natural orifice endoscopic surgery(a report of 25 cases)

【Objective】 To investigate the feasibility and application value of laparoscopic cholecystectomy by transumbilical natural orifice endoscopic surgery.【Methods】The clinical data of 25 patients performed laparoscopic cholecystectomy by transumbilical natural orifice endoscopic surgery were retrospectively analyzed.【Results】All the operations of laparoscopic cholecystectomy were successfully performed.The operation time was 30～88 min,and mean operation time was 40±5 min.The patients were discharged from hospital from one to three days after operation.All patients recovered rapidly with no complications such as hemorrhage.They felt slight pain without obvious abdominal scar.【Conclusions】 Laparoscopic cholecystectomy by transumbilical natural orifice endoscopic surgery is safe and feasible with cosmetic results.It can be applied in medical center with the special technique.
