MRI in the Diagnosis of Acute Spinal Injuries

Objective: To study the characteristis of MRI in spinal injuries and the value of MRI in the diagnosis of spinal and spinal cord injuries.Method: The characteristis of MRI of 60 cases with acute spinal injuries in 24 hours were analyzed retrospectively,38 of which underwent CT examination.Result: With the help of MRI in the diagnosis,52 cases were found backbone fracture,16 spinal injury,25 spinal cord hemorrhage,8 broken spinal cord,42 ligament and soft tissues injury and 21 spinal cord oedema.Conclusion: MRI locates spinal injuries accurately and is of great value in the diagnosis and treatment of spinal injuries,and which should be chosen first in the check-up of spinal injuries.
