Effect of Qingchang Guanchang Fang on Treatment of Ulcerative Colitis and VEGF Expression

Objective:To observe the effect of Qingchang Guanchang Fang on treatment of ulcerative colitis(UC) and VEGF expression.Methods:60 cases with UC were randomly divided into TCM group treated by Qingchang Guanchang Fang(30 cases) and SASP group treated by salicylazosulfapyridine(30 cases).After therapy for 4 weeks,the clinical curative effect,variation of mucous membrane by the enteroscopy,and VEGF expression before and after the therapy were observed.Results:The symptom improvement and the restoration of mucous membrane's inflammation in the TCM group were obviously better than those in the SASP group(P0.05).VEGF expression in the TCM group was also increased compared with that in the SASP group(P0.05).Conclusion:Qingchang Guanchang Fang has significant curative effect on treatment of UC.Improvement of VEGF expression and ulcer concrescence quality maybe the mechanicsm of Qingchang Guanchang Fang in acceleration of ulcer concrescence.
