道醫 instances in Kanripo

2019
All 112 instances where the characters 道 and 醫 are colocated as 道醫 in the pre-modern text corpus Kanripo.org. Each of the instances is examined for sentence structure, and given punctuation, demonstrating that no instance of the term occurs in the entire collection. This indicates that the term 道醫 (the literary Chinese equivalent of the modern concept of Daoist Medicine, 道教醫學), was not an intellectual category in pre-modern China. Kanripo.org is the largest open-access, corpus of scholarly quality transcriptions of pre-modern texts. Each search result links directly to the Kanripo collection, and the primary quotes can be further examined there.
