중학교 과학 영재들의 성별과 재능 분야에 따른 과학 관련 태도 조사 연구

The purpose of this study was to investigate the science related attitudes of scientifically gifted middle school students according to gender and talented division. Instrument to survey their science related attitudes consisted of 22 Likert-5-point scale items (from 1 to 5), which were categorized into five domains: the enjoyment of science lesson, the importance of science investment, the social value of science, the inquiry attitude of science, and the occupational interest in science. A total of 102 scientifically gifted middle school students participated in the survey. They showed high level of attitude (above 4.18) in all domains of science related attitudes. However, there were no significant differences among gender and talented division (p>.05), and also, there were no interaction effects between gender and talented division. Among the science related attitude domains, there were the very high correlation between the joy of science class, and the importance of science investment, the inquiry attitude of science and the occupational interest in science (r>.60, p<.01), and a very high correlation between the importance of science investment and the social value of science. The results of this study suggested with respected to teaching strategy and educational programs considering the factors of science related attitudes.
