Clinical Study of External Application of Herbal Medicine for Cervical Erosion

To evaluate the therapeutic effect of Bingdian Powder (BDP), Bingjie Powder (BJP) and Qufu Shengji Ointment (QSO) for cervical erosion. A single-blind randomized controlled trial was applied. One hundred and forty cases of cervical erosion were randomized into four groups: BDP group (n=36), BJP group (n-35), QSO group (n=36) and Aibaoliao Suppository (AS) group (n-33). Local external application of medicine was carried out 2~ 3 days after menstrual period, one time every other day, 20 days being a treatment course. The total effective rate in BDP group and BJP group was similar to that in AS group and that in QSO group was lower to that in AS group. The effects of BDP, BJP and QSO for mild, moderate or simple cervical erosion were the same as that of AS group; for granular or papillary erosion, the effects of BDP and BJP were superior to those of AS, and BJP had a better effect than AS for severe erosion.
