The Lexicon of the National Awakening in the Textbooks: Albanian Language and Literary Anthology

The word awakening means our national movement for the liberation from Turkey in the nineteenth and early twentieth century, this movement was accompanied by great efforts of cultures and gave rise to the birth and development of the new Albanian literature. All the textbooks are adapted to age groups and also the language of writing in these textbooks is clear and in accordance with the age of the students and they have been evaluated as texts and content. The aim of this study is to present the lexicon of the National awakening authors in the textbooks Albanian language and literary anthology of the lower secondary education respectively grades 6-9 of the Republic of Kosovo. Regarding the content and the didactic aspects of the subjects, the texts and exercises summarized in these textbooks show a high level and are relevant to the discussed topics. Tracing and using folk words and expressions is one of the main ways that our distinguished participants in the reawakening of nationalist feelings followed to enrich the Albanian language lexicon, and this is also evident in the texts of the authors of the National awakening.
