What Can CCDF Learn from the Research on Children's Health and Safety in Child Care?

2012
A major goal of the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) is to provide low-income children with access to high-quality care that supports their health and safety. CCDF requires states and territories to have laws to protect the health and safety of children in subsidized care and it requires states to use funds for quality initiatives including those to improve health and safety and to educate parents. This brief highlights recent research that can inform lead agencies in the states and territories as they consider ways to support state licensing and other systems that influence children?s health and safety.
