A new class of functions for transient analysis of coaxial cables terminated with parallel resistor and capacitor
1988
A class of Laplace transforms particularly well suited for transient analysis of capacitively-loaded coaxial cables with skin effect loss is considered. Algorithms for time-domain calculations are derived and some computed time responses are compared with experimental results. An advantage of a method based on an expansion of the time response in a series of functions G/sub n//sup (K)/ is that condensed analytical expressions useful for analysis and design may be derived from the formal expansions by truncating the time-domain expansions. >
