The present invention discloses a method for preparing a sustained-release fertilizer lightweight aggregate, comprising preparation steps of: (1) drill holes on the lightweight aggregate diameter of 2-6mm and powdery fertilizer filled in the hole ; (2) the 30-75g cement clinker, 2-7g triethanolamine, 0.5-2g superplasticizer, 10-20g and 15-30g plaster mixing water to obtain a homogeneous slurry; (3) the fill light bone fertilizer material soaked in slurry removed after 10-20 seconds, and air-dried to give slow-release fertilizer plant raw lightweight concrete aggregate. Aggregates & Concrete substrate compatibility of the present invention is prepared well, almost does not affect the concrete strength and service life; under the control of aggregate surface hardened its internal filling fertilizers slow release fertilizer to good effect; raw materials, process simple.
