1996
Campylobacter infection is the third most common cause of abortion in ewes in the United Kingdom7, where it is confirmed in approximately 8% of diagnosed abortions. C. fetus fetus is isolated from about 80% of Campylobacter abortions while C. jejuni and C. coli are isolated from the remainder2,6 demonstrated that 6 out of 7 isolates of C. fetus isolated from ovine gall bladders were abortifacient in pregnant ewes.
