Significance and expression of triggering receptor expression on myeloid cells-1 in severe acute pancreatitis

2010
Objective To investigate the significance and expression of triggering receptor expression on myeloid cells-1(TREM-1) in severe acute pancreatitis(SAP). Methods RT-PCR analysis was used to test the expression of TREM-1 mRNA in peripheral blood of mild acute pancreatitis, SAP and the normal control, and ELISA assay was applied to detect the dose of TREM-1, TNF-αand IL-10 in peripheral blood of SAP patients. Results The expression level of TREM-1 mRNA in SAP group was higher dramatically than that of mild acute pancreatitis group(MAP) and the control group. The dose of TREM-1, TNF-α and IL-10 in SAP patients presented the positive correlation with the correlation coefficient being respective 0.951 (P<0.05) and 0.873 (P<0.05). Conclusion The expression level of TREM-1 mRNA is higher in SAP patients, and its dose has positive correlation with TNF-α and IL-10, which suggests the important clinical significance for SAP patients. Key words: TREM-1; Acute pancreatitis; TNF-α; IL-10
