The invention provides an image erosion and expansion processing method based on a topology fractal algorithm, and belongs to the technical field of computer image processing. The method is characterized by, carrying out searching and calculation on an image through an image topology fractal search model to directly obtain a target pixel and adjacent pixels needing to be subjected to corrosion expansion calculation and number and azimuth space topology information of the adjacent pixels; carrying out corrosion expansion calculation on the target pixel according to the information above; and adopting hierarchical image corrosion expansion calculation steps, that is, carrying out corrosion expansion calculation on some specific pixel type in the image at one time. The method is suitable for carrying out cluster operation calculation for removing isolate pixels and small spots on the images subjected to classification processing. The method, when processing remote sensing image data in extra large data volume and having extremely-complex topological relation, can improve efficiency and automation degree in large-area large-scale various resource surveys, and obtain various resource information in time and accurately, thereby achieving the purpose of saving manpower and material resources.
