Study on nonlinear absorption uniformity of KDP crystal at 532nm

KDP crystals were grown by rapid techniques and conventional temperature cooling methods. The nonlinear absorption of various growth sections in crystal was explored in detail by z-scan technique. The characteristics were displayed that nonlinear absorption coefficient of KDP crystals grown by rapid techniques is greater than those of conventional crystals. The largest nonlinear absorption response has been discovered at the interface between pyramid and prism sections, while nonlinear absorption of prismatic sector is smaller than that of pyramidal sector of crystal. Nonlinear absorption of crystal decreases with rise of supersaturation. The value of nonlinear absorption become large as conventional specimen is near the regenerated cap.
